I love baby snakes! The pinkies we uesd to feed my old snake were already dead. We'd just thaw them in the microwave. Her vision and sense of smell were pretty good, so she didn't need to see them moving.

i will be feeding peanut for the first time today. the vet i saw yesterday said i should train her to eat frozen right away because as she gets bigger, so does her prey and one day it will bite back!!!

my contribution...

since you sent me over here, I figured I'd put this in response to you. This is my baby animal contribution:

She's full grown now, but wasn't she a CUTIE!? Named Jaws for her cute love-nipping habits. She was a foster we ended up keeping - occupational hazard ;)

Hehe, thank you. I'm actually a bit disappointed that I couldn't link a better picture; I've got a much better one as an l/j icon actually but it's obviously not large enough to be posting :^\

[takes a bow]

Believe me, it was nothing. The mother capybara was the one that had to do all of the hard work! ;^)

I hope this isn't too many! I took all these photos; the first four at a nearby park, the last one at the National Zoo.

5-day-old Carolina Chickadee babies

4-day-old Tree Swallow baby

Fuzzy goslings

Rambunctious ducklings

Kandula and his mom Shanthi
